I am hooking up a few new accessories.

I am trying to decide whether to mount their switches on my control panel or place their switches locally behind the accessories. I know centrally wiring everything to a panel looks neater and more professional, but that makes for a lot of wires and long runs going into and out of the panel.

I do already have some trunk wires for items that are always on.

Thanks for your suggestions.

It depends on your preference. Do you want centralized control of your accessories, or do you like walking around your layout to operate each accessory?

Large layouts like clubs have centralized control.

I prefer to place the switch in close proximity to the accessories.
