sorry was not able to figure out how to edit above post. I found an instruction manual online and lock ons in another box. I took out the center pin at the switches to isolate the two loops. I replaced with a toothpick in the center rail although I do not think it is doing anything but maybe will help keep rails aligned. I still do not understand purpose of fiber pins in switches on ground rails on one side only.
