Help with layout wiring
« on: September 04, 2018, 10:46:48 pm »
I'd like to build a layout with two Lion Chief trains, one oval inside another oval with switches joining them.
Question: Could I connect both wall-pack 54 watts transformers, one on each loop?'
Thank you.

The best way to wire the layout is to use a transformer.

Put insulated pins in the switches where they join the inner loop. This way both wall packs are isolated from each other, allowing you to run both trains simultaneously without any electrical feedback from one wall pack to the other.
