KW Transformer
« on: March 16, 2017, 08:07:28 pm »
I have a KW transformer attached to fast track. I have a Santa Fe 2343 with B car and the four passenger cars. The connector wire keeps overheating. I'm sure it's wired correctly, but is there a heavier gage wire available?

Hey NDJD,

I have a KW also, right now I'm using 14 gauge stranded wire to supply power to the track. I haven't had any problems with over heating. I picked up the wire at a home supply store (Menards, Home Depot, etc), I looked in the home wiring section as well as automotive section. Hope that helps!
