Scout Couplers
« on: November 25, 2020, 06:14:18 pm »
I have a 1949 Lionel Scout train & want to add a Lionel 6424 flatcar to the train, but the couplers are different...is there an adapter that I can buy...I didn't want to change the cars as I was trying to keep everything original. Thanks for any help you can give me.

There is a way to couple the cars together. It involves turning one truck on the Scout car around so the coupler faces inward.

Snap a 480-25 baseplate and coupler over the truck axles and bend the tabs on the baseplate lightly to keep it in place.

Available from The Train Tender.

Conversion done.
