Pennsylvania K4 6-28025 upgrades?

Greetings!
I'm new to this hobby and am building a train.  I recently bought an older but brand new #6-28025 PRR K-4 steam locomotive.  It has the capability of sound and control upgrades via the Lionel 22960 and 22963 upgrades.  Neither seem to be available anymore.  Are there any third party aftermarket upgrades available for the locomotive or should I stick with the original locomotive and sounds/controls?

Hello & Welcome to the Forum!
Sound system upgrades are available, you just have to decide whose module to use.
Friend of mine who uses sound has suggested Dallee Electronics:
