Welcome to the forum and Merry Christmas!

If you wish to build a layout where you can reverse the direction of your train, then you need additional track and some switches. The easiest type of layout to do this is a modified Figure 8 layout such as this one.

I had a similar layout to reverse my trains.

All pins are made to come out. You may need to use a pair of pliers as a lever to get the stubborn pins to come out of the track.
