Controller for Thomas the Tank Engine
« on: July 25, 2017, 12:09:27 pm »
The controller for the Thomas the Tank engine set which I have for my grandchildren has failed.

Will the Lion Chief controller work with Thomas?

What do I need to do to make it work?  I have a two year old Grandson who is getting tired of my reports that Thomas is still in the roundhouse.

Thank you for the help.

Hello & Welcome to the Forum!

Which set are you refering to?
O scale or G scale?

I don't believe the controlers are coded, unless you are trying
to run a G scale Thomas with a O scale controller.

Hopefully someone with more knowledge will chime in.

Happy Rails.

My Thomas is 0 gauge.  The controller that came with the set is blue with a red dial.  For some reason even with fresh batteries, the controller will not turn on and connect to Thomas so that he can be run.

Maybe my best bet is to try the controller that I have for a Mickey Mouse train with Thomas.  That should establish whether or not a Lion Chief Controller will work.

Thanks for the response and the request for more information.
