Hello all.  Here's the scoop.... ...this box was found at a cardboard recycling center and was about to be chopped up. I noticed the Lionel name on it and quickly rescued it. I certainly have no use for it but is there possibly someone here that might have this set and needs an original box? As the photo shows, it is for set # 1612 called "The General" passenger set.
I don't want anything for it and will ship it to the first person interested. However, a box this size may cost up to $15 just to ship inside another box, according to the clerk at the Pack N Ship store. So is it worth it to do so? I'll leave that up to you.
