Welcome to the forum!

Turn the locomotive upside down and twist the trucks so you can see the frame ends.

One end will have a screw to remove. Once the screw is out, turn the loco right side up and pull up on the end of the cab where you just took the screw out of and pull it up slightly. As you do so, pull the cab to the back of the loco to unlock the rear of the cab from a tab in the frame. Pull the cab straight up and it's off.

The bulbs are #161-300

Thank you very much I do see the screw here is the issue this engine was mint in box till I bought it a few months ago never run. It ran beautifully and I of course lubbed it prior. After being in the box for so long I can’t loosen that screw probably some corrosion or over tightened at the factory. I have tried wd40 putting a wet rag at the tip of my screw driver etc. that screw won’t budge. Any suggestions before I drill it out very carefully.

Thanks

One more thing the light that is out is on the rear of the engine so the opposite side of where the screw is

Thanks

Get yourself some penetrating oil and spray it on the threads as best you can and let it soak.

Get the biggest screwdriver that will fit the screw head that you can. Bigger equals more torque.

Once the screw is out you can remove the shell to change out the bulb.
