The engine appears to run ok TMCC however when trying to run it conventional it lights up and the sound comes up but no motional either forward or reverse. Has anyone had this problem.

Make sure the Run/Program switch is in the Run position.
It sounds like the LCRU board may be defective operating in conventional mode.

This looks to be the parts layout for the loco.
