Lionel Legacy System

• I was interested in buying the Lionel Legacy System and I was wondering how to connect a conventional engine to it. I own the Polar Express and I was wondering how to connect it because I've looked all over the internet and it says I can do it but I don't know if I need a Tmcc or something else. I'm also wondering if you can connect Lionchief trains to the Legacy System. Thanks

• Once you have the Legacy system, you just put your Polar Express train on the track and use the Legacy remote to operate it.

• So what your saying is I use the Legacy Remote and go to conventional mode and then I can run the train? Could I run other command engines at the same time or not?

• You cannot run both conventional and command locomotives at the same time.
  
  In conventional mode, the system is set to vary the track voltage with the remote - just like a conventional transformer does.
  
  In command mode, the track is set to maximum voltage constantly, and the remote varies the engine speed with the electronics in the locomotives.
