Caterpillar Lionel Trains

Lionel used to make a very nice-looking Caterpillar steam locomotive set. I found a photo of someone's HO Caterpillar train set, and I found a plastic Caterpillar train set.

I cannot find any real-life Caterpillar trains except that there actually are Caterpillar flatcars for carrying their products.

It sounds like you are at the next stage of the train hobby: Build & Bash......
Fortunately/Unfortunately we do get to the stage where we want a "long out of production or a Never Was" train of piece of rollingstock.
And the ONLY was we're going to get it, is to build or bash...
There are lots of donor/inexpensive pieces of rolling stock to test your build/bash skills upon to get what you want.
IF YOU BUILD IT, YOU'LL HAVE IT....

Happy Rails...

Thank you, Dave.

And I corrected an error in my previous post. There  really are Caterpillar flatcars, but I cannot find photos of actual John Deere railcars of any type.

John Deere may have built rail cars in the past, but current production is Railroad Engine's & Drivetrain.

Excellent link Dave. John Deere currently makes PARTS for railroad equipment, although they do not manufacture any locomotives or railcars.
