Hi There,
I am from the Philippines and this will be my first train set.
My brother just gifted me with a pre-owned Lionel O27 Coastal Limited train set.
I am building this for my grandson hopefully in time for Christmas.

My problem is that when I start the train, using the controller, only the lights will turn on but will not move.
When I turn if off and feed with it power via the control, it would move backwards.
Then turned it off and on again. This time is started moving forward.

I dont think this is normal so something must be wrong. Can someone tell me where I should start?
