I am new to the forum and this has probably been asked a dozen times so I apologize in advance.  I have a forties vintage Lionel set and am giving it to my granddaughter.  To make it easier and more enjoyable for her to use, I was thinking of using a 4 x 8 sheet of plywood and permanently attaching the tracks so that it would be convenient for her to use.  I have seen some layout plans but wonder if any of you out there have any suggestions as to web sites or just general comments.  Thank you.
