Help Identifying Pre War Lionel Set
« on: October 05, 2023, 07:17:38 am »
Hello,

I recently purchased this Lionel set to add to my train collection. I have not in the past purchased Lionel, so do not know much about them, but honestly could not pass up on the quality of this set. I was told it was from 1915, just not sure, but what I can find it is called a #6 Standard Gauge. I also believe there is one car called a Trolley. Also with the purchase, it looks like all the original controls from that era. I am only guessing on the era, as with this set was a hand written accounting log of his trains purchases and the book is dated 1911.

If anyone can help me know the details of this set, and approximate worth. I do not have plans to sell, but just like to have the value added to my complete collection. If it is actually that old, it looks to be in excellent condition.

Thank you for any help, JR
