Problem with Celebration 2341 on Fastrack 036 Switches
« on: January 20, 2017, 04:58:21 pm »
Hello,
I am new here and hoping to receive information about a problem that I am having. I have a like new 2341 Celebration 2341 FM Trainmaster. It sparks or resets while crossing over 036 switches. It happens all the time on straight sections or the curve sections. I have 14 switches on my layout, some have just straight tracks on either side of the switch. I wrote to Lionel's Service center, but I am not satisfied with their answer. They claim I need larger rollers. My guess is that smaller rollers are needed. Strange thing about this Trainmaster. Unlike older Lionel Trainmaster engines, the flanged wheels are the 1st and 3rd. Older postwar Trainmaster engines have the flanged wheels as the 1st and 2nd. The non flanged wheel is the 3rd set. I think my problem is with the new design. Does anyone have experience with this type of problem?
