Hello to all here on this forum
« on: November 30, 2022, 07:52:38 pm »
I registered here in search of some assistance with selling a Lionel train set that I got after the passing of my father in law.

I will admit, I know very, very little of this hobby.  I do know that my FIL would prefer his trains not just sit in boxes in my house.  I am not sure how to go about selling all of this.  It is not a huge set, maybe ten cars in total plus the tracks and pieces and parts.

The engine is a Model# 2037, there is a Tender car #234W as well as 8 other cars.  Lots of track, a transformer switch and many little extras.

I am hoping to sell all of this as one bundle.  I do not know what this is all worth.  Maybe a little good will and direction from those on the forum.

Thank you in advance.

Hello & Welcome to the Forum!

l am sad at the reason for you joining the forum but do understand.
Your Fathers' train if in very good condition w/boxes runs in the $200 price range.
Your 2037 locomotive w/tender is around $30.00.
The days of high price selling is over, unless you have a rare or unique train.

Happy Rails!
