I have to believe the sensor is defective. Although it works with my hand placed in front of it, it will not
trip the crossing gates running the train around it. I have elevated the sensor. I have shaded it 2 different ways. With the lights off and on. I can't imagine that they are all like this or they would have been discontinued. I have watched YouTube videos showing it working. So I will go back to Hobby Shop and get another one and try that. If it still doesn't work I am going to go with Z Stuff.
