FINDING A REPAIR PART NUMBER
« on: December 21, 2018, 05:42:21 pm »
I WONDER IF IT'S POSSIBLE TO OBTAIN THE PART NUMBER FOR THE SMOKE UNIT FOR A LIONEL (6-28079) CHESAPEAKE & OHIO SCALE 2-10-4 CLASS T-4 #3004 (TMCC)? I AQUIRED THE ENGINE SECOND HAND AND IT HAS AN MTH UNIT MODIFIED INTO IT. I WAS NOT ABLE TO FIND THE UNIT LISTED FOR THIS PARTICULAR ENGINE ON THE LIONEL LLC PAGE.

Thank you for the reply but it looks to me like 620-8072-220 is only the heater element. I am trying to find the entire smoke unit that goes in that engine. Number 610-8051-200 goes to the B&O EM-1 which is also an Odyssey and I think the same unit fits the C&O (cab # 3004) T4 but I'm not 100% sure and Lionel doesn't seem to list it.

The entire smoke unit including the smoke resistor is #76 as I stated. The smoke element alone is #75.
Click on the camera icon to the right of the price, and it will bring up a picture of the item.

After looking at that, I think I understand why whoever had this engine converted it for an MTH smoke unit.
