Changing Loco Wheels
« on: March 26, 2014, 02:28:30 am »
Greetings. I need to replace two of the wheels on a Burlington Hudson Jr due to severe corrosion. Though I believe I can handle the repair ok (fingers crossed), does anyone know where I can purchase just the wheels? Lionel sells them with the frame and wheels as an assembly: part number 6SP8060601 "Frame and Wheel Assy/ w/o WT MNT/ Hudson Jr" for $80.00. It may be better in the end to bite the bullet and buy the whole thing, but then the rest of the components will have to be changed over. Any experience out there? I'm all ears! TY
