If you connect multiple power packs dc power I am told by Lionel that some power packs may be out of phase and give you a problem?

I am building a Z5 foot by 16 foot layout with two main lines  two concentric loops , connected with manual switches , no accessories , and running two Lionel chief plus engines, no isolation between loops
