Thanks Guys! The cleaning and lube helped quite a bit. Found one car with very stiff truck-removed that and she went back to normal.

I have a Lionel North Pole Central as part of a 3 scale mountain setup under the Christmas tree. After 10 to 15 minutes it begins to lose power. I have 6 cars on it. After shutting down (cooling down?) it is normal again upon restarting. Transformer in use is a MRC Tech II Trainpower 027. Do you think issue is with transformer or locomotive?
