I just posted on Youtube a video of my Christmas Train. I still have some scenery to put up and decorate the house. You see, my train just won't go around the tree... It'll go around the house. #2 Polar Express Conductor with Lighted Lantern.

Since I have the Polar Express with the remote and doesn't need the announcement car, does anyone know if on of the cars can be retrofitted with the conductor with the lighted lantern. I'd prefer to not to not buying another car for the feature (I have 5 cars on the train now). Thanks.... -

Now you have my curiosity up. I have the remote controlled Polar Express. It makes the announcements out of the tender. All it says is "All aboard, this is the Polar Express" when stationary and what sounds like "all up, tickets please" when moving. My set didn't come with the car with the conductor, though I am aware of the seperate announcement car. Does the announcement car have him saying anything more than what I quoted?

Hello Everyone,My name is Mark. I'm 61 and just joined the forum. I just started back up with model railroading about 9 months ago after retiring a second time. I decided to put up a ceiling/wall train setup and chose the the O Scale due to the size. It started in my hobby room with the Harry Potter Hogwarts Express. I then punched a couple of small holes in the wall and extended it out into the living room. Needless to say my wife and I are really looking forward to decorating for Christmas this year. The grandkids went nuts when I showed them the setup.I have also extended the collection adding a Pennsylvania General train, Polar Express train, a Santa Fe Super Chief and of course a Lionel Christmas train. I just joined the Lionel Collector's Club of America. I decided to join the forum to get some insights on the "doing it right" aspect. Eventually I will be adding a garden railroad setup.
