Where Should i Sell My Trains?
My father passed away in 2006 & i was left his very large collection of lionel trains 1944-late 1950's. his collection consists of locomotives (about
& rolling stock (arnd 2 dozen) (all cars still in their boxes), track (2 lg boxes), transformers (3) & every other accessory you can think of. it's difficult to think of letting this collection go. i remember my dad's stories spent as the bat boy & eventually club house manager for the baltimore orioles... he'd save all his earnings to buy his prized trains. unfortunately i have no place to set them up & i know someone could appreciate the magic of this fabulous collection more than myself.
i've researched prices on ebay & collector's books. i've photographed many of the trains from multiple angles but still have a lot to go. i've considered ebay, auction houses & now i find myself here on a train forum hoping for some direction. i know trains have significantly depreciated in value but hoping to make a fair price & find someone to love them as much as he did. any insight is most appreciated...
