I just got the HO Polar Express, I switched it to DCC and it seems to work great but, I do not get a the chuff, am I missing something,

Second issue, one of the cars likes to derail it looks like the truck coupler arm hits the screw when coming out of curves, I have taken it off the track and all no more derailments. Anyone have an idea how to fix this.
