Power & Control / Need power advice on new layout
« on: November 03, 2020, 07:04:34 pm »
I installed two O gauge tracks that run parallel around the perimeter of my basement and i need help deciding what power I should use. Here are the details:

1. The sizes of each line is roughly 36' x 24' (theres two running parallel)
2. I used Lionel Fastrack
3. The lines are not connected together
4. I only have one CW-80 transformer wired to each line
5. I am using a CAB-2 to control the Legacy trains
6. I can run 3 trains on one line and 2 trains on the second line (not perfect but it works).

So i'm planning on crating multiple "blocks" and connect both lines

Should I purchase one ZW-L transformer which will give me 4 possible blocks or multiple 135 watt bricks for each block?

Larry,

Thank You.

UPDATE: I contacted Lionel and they gave me a RMA number so i shipped it to them. Wish me luck.

I recently purchased and received the Alaska RR F7 AA Set (2033240) with Alaska RR F7B (2033248) and Alaska RR Superbass F7B.

The Superbass has couplers turned the same way. One is upside down. You cannot connect this unit to other trains (two left feet).

How can I get this corrected?
