Power & Control / power to fastrack

 I bought a Lionel Trains Powerhouse 180 Power Supply #6-22983 and Lionel Trainmaster Command Set CAB-1 Remote & Command Base 6-12969, however I still must be missing something as I can't figure out how to connect them to my fastrack layout.

I guess what I really need to know is how the electric gets to the fields from the rollers. My engine runs if I apply power to the ground side of the e unit and either of the brush holders, also the light lights and it makes smoke, but nothing happens when I apply power to the rollers
