General Lionel Model Train Discussion / Legacy Railsound/Legacy Remote VS LionChief Bluetooth APP

I have purchased a new-in-box Atlantic Coast Line Legacy E6 AA Engine. I am hearing an idling diesel engine sound when the train is still but no revving sounds when I throttle up the train. I am operating the train with the LionChief app. Should I get the full sound effects with the app or will I have to use the Legacy Remote to achieve full sound effects?
