Three rail track (of any kind) does not require any special wiring for reverse loops or wyes due to the "hot" always being in the center rail.  There are many ways to elevate Fastrack on top of existing benchwork.  Lionel makes a Graduated trestle set for the incline and an Elevated trestle set for the elevated portion. MTH also makes these but some modification may be needed to fit Fastrack.  Woodland Scenics makes a foam piece that unfolds to create an incline.

I am in the planning stage for a medium size layout and have a few questions.  I love the look of elevated trains but do not like the added construction time for bench work.  I will be using mostly Lionchief loco's so I assume a 2% grade is about maximum, correct?  I assume with the R/C aspect of Lionchief loco's that Y's and reverse loops will not require any special electrical wiring.  Is this a correct assumption?  Thanks for your input.
