Here's what I could find...
You'll have to go through the manual ,  pages 23-25 deal with the tender sounds using a conventional transformer.
You might try the reset on page 27.

Looking for help with my GS-2.  The tender sounds are out of sync with the engine. The "at rest" sounds are occuring when the engine is moving and the "Chug" sounds are trying when the engine is in between the shift sequence. Train is being operated on standard O track with a LW transformer with no TCMM. Any ideas or help on how to correct this would be appreciated.
