Hello & Welccome to the Forum!

I am not certain of the operating system of your ipad,but have heard that there is a problem with android systems.
Best results I am aware of have been using the iphone.  Good sound, adjustable, should be able to connect to external speaker via blue tooth.

The tender speaker that came with the Polar Express is just ok.  I would love to connect it to an external speaker through my IPAD I have controlling the train.  No matter what I do, I can't get the sound from the train to the speaker.  All other IPAD sounds go to the speaker I have connected perfectly. 

Is this not possible?  I would assume this is to be a bad idea of Lionel if not.  Would be very cool to hear the sounds on a big speaker.   

Thoughts please are welcome!!  We love trains!!
