Title: Re: O Gauge Polar Express Question
Post by: slyautosports on October 25, 2017, 10:06:35 pm
Thank you for the info...

I have been reading up on a lot of stuff.

So far I have the 6-84328-E LionChief Polar Express Engine.

I have a PowerMax Plus transformer but it does not have the accessory connectors.

I'm contemplating getting a GW-180 and/or a CW-80.

Also, I would like to upgrade the smoker but cannot decide on the best  route for that.

Also the green marker lights on the front of the engine do not seem to light up like the older versions.

Is the headlight a LED?

Any info would be appreciated.

Thank you

You have everything you need with the first set. Use the transformer that came with the first set just set it at the max speed you want to run the locomotive at and control it with the remote or Bluetooth app. If you want to expand buy more track and switches but you need nothing else unless you want more.

You need track (usually FasTrack) and the terminal track.
The DC power supply for the layout is needed also.

Title: O Gauge Polar Express Question

I have an O gauge Polar Express set, an older one, that has the big transformer where you control the train from.

I just purchased a new REMOTE control/bluetooth Polar Express engine and tender, model 6-84328-E.

My question is what do I need to take advantage of all the functions this newer engine has? I.E. power supply, transformer, special power track etc...?

Thank you in advance
