Ref the Challenger stuck in reverse, my first suggestion is to clear it off your remote, and reload the software from your orange module.  Sometimes static electricity or a power surge can mess up the programming.  Try that first.

Hello & Welcome to the Forum.

Are you operating you 3985 conventionally, Legacy or  TMCC?

Here's a link to the Operating manual.
If running Legacy, see pages 5 - 10.
If running TMCC or Conventional, see pages 11 - 20.
Check pages, 11, 16, 17 & 20 to see if there is a solution to your problem.
Page 20 may be your solution if you are running it conventionally.

Need help I have a Lionel Legacy Challenger cab #3985 which is stuck in reverse. It also starts up immediately in reverse rather then in neutral.
