I have seen a giraffe car used with fast track by bending a piece of metal wire (around 1/16" round) and securing it into a set of holes drilled into the plastic roadbed. It was easily put into place and removed so it could be taken off when not using the car. Hope this helps.

I have the  Lionel operating giraffe car from the 1960's.  Can anyone tell me if and how to utilize the operating mechanism with fast track.  I also have the operating milk and cattle cars.  Just can't seem to figure out how to use with the new fast track...thanks
