so.....should have a swing away cover on bottom of fuel tank. Takes a "D" cell, if I remember.
I hate the horns and have disabled/removed them all.
Corrosion.....put the engine away with a battery installed, it leaks, massive corrosion. Clean and sand battery contact points and try again

Hey guys. I’m new to the forum. I was hoping I could get some help. I have a 1950s Lackawanna 2321 train set with a multi control trainmaster ZW transformer. I know very little about my train and its components so please bear with me. I only use them once a year during the holidays.
The whistle that is located in the engine does not work when controlling it using the switch on the transformer.
When engaging the whistle switch the lights on the engine will brighten but the whistle will not sound. I did some research and tested the whistle by touching a battery to the whistle and using a jumper wire connecting to the relay. The whistle will sound when this is done so I know the whistle works. I also tried reversing the connections to my transformer. That did not work.
I would greatly appreciate any assistance in fixing the whistle. Thanks.
