Welcome to the forum!

Glad to see some old Lionel's being resurrected to bring happiness to you once again.

There is a transition track that is made to join Fastrack to '0' gauge tubular.

Your old transformers will work your trains with no problem. If you have any newer locomotives with both a bell and whistle (or horn), you may need to get a sound activation button to ring the bell.

Growing up in the mid fifties to early sixties  period, I collected numerous Lionel trains and accessories. The pieces range from around 1946 to the early sixties. The collection has been decently stored. However, the tracks (O and O27 gauge) has seen better days ((kinda like me!).  Can I use the newest Lionel Fastrack with my collection or should I stick with the tubular track? Also, are the transformers (ZW, etc.) from the earlier era compatible with the track systems available today or should I plan on new sources of power? Thanks in advance for any advice you can share!
