The operating voltage is adjusted by varying your transformer throttle. Run the train at a speed that gives the best performance of the car.

Thanks Larry, any idea on how to adjust operating voltage may need to be fine-tuned to get optimum performance.

All of the Animated Gondola cars operate using the same vibrotor mechanism. The operating voltage may need to be fine-tuned to get optimum performance.

The 16712 Pinkerton Animated Gondola from 1995 was presumably made in the USA.

Thinking about buying a new Lionel New 16712 Hobo and Cop Pinkerton Animated Gondola car but was wondering if these were made in the U.S.A or China. If I buy older could anyone suggest the best Lionel hobo and cop car to buy. I bought this one but had to send back because the hobo and cop barely moved around the car. Lionel O Gauge Pinkerton #16674 Animated Gondola Car.
