Rock Collecting - Rock Hounding
« on: January 16, 2013, 03:55:55 pm »
Growing up in the 50's when the average workers wages were pretty slim,
hobbies were those that cost the least to get involved in.  Being a kid back
then you tended to do what ever you could to have fun.
For me it became rock collecting.  It didn't cost anything and you could
find some pretty cool rocks for free.  I'm still involved in rock collecting,
cutting & polishing them(lapidary) & making settings out of silver.
