parts needed
« on: October 19, 2020, 06:53:03 pm »
Greetings to all model railroaders. I hope someone on here can help an old man out. I have a Lionel 6-18010 Pennsylvania S2 6-8-6 Turbine Steam Engine, the bushings on the rear of the engine truck has gone bad. So I have been looking for Axle bushings for my truck so I can keep this great running engine going. If I cant locate any bushings then I will buy a used or new truck if I can locate it. Its a 6 wheel or 3 Axle truck. So if anyone knows where I can locate one I would love to hear from you. I would even buy a non running engine for the parts.
So anyone out there...HELP........

Welcome to the forum!

The service literature available for your locomotive unfortunately does not have the parts breakdown for the front or rear trucks.

Call Lionel customer service at 800-454-6635 or 586-949-4100 with the model number of your loco, and ask them if they have the parts you are looking for, or the whole truck in stock. If not, they may be able to direct you to a parts dealer that does.

Have already contacted Lionel and many other service centers and hobby shops. Get the same from all of them. Sorry cant help you. So I am looking for an individual who may have a engine not running they wish to sell for parts. So if anyone has one please let me know.

Perhaps you should post in the Buy & Sell forum.

I posted in the buy and sale. Also, how do you load images here in the forum? Can you send me a link that shows the procedure?

When you are writing a post, directly underneath it says ''Attach:'' and ''Browse''
You browse your computer to find the attachment (a picture in your case) and add the attachment to your post.

Hello
My suggestion is to contact forum member Bill Hennings/Hennings Trains.

Thanks for the information guys, its greatly appreciated. I spoke to Mr Hennings and unfortunately he did not have any parts for the truck.
But I located some on the west coast and they were great to work with and they located parts there and I bought 10 bushings from them and I repaired the truck, now the "Engine From Hell" is back up and running. Also found some at Trainz, thanks to Nickster for sending me the Trainz link. I appreciate all of you model Rail Roaders.
