What are my childhood trains worth??
« on: January 21, 2021, 03:01:17 pm »
Cleaning out moms house and came across our childhood trains. I’m pretty sure the engine and coal car(tender?) was my dad’s when he was a kid. Wondering what the value is, may be looking to sell. May save for my grandkids when the time comes.

Hello & Welcome to the Forum!

A found treasure in the closet
Some are lucky to find a memory of their parents childhood, as you have.
Value?
That depends on YOU.
Something that belonged to a parent that can be passed on to descendants.. Priceless...
Street Value?
Depends upon the locomotive, condition, rarity etc...

I suggest taking a damp cloth, wiping it down and putting it up on a shelf to display...

Happy Rails...
