Lionel hobo and cop car
« on: November 10, 2020, 11:02:13 am »
Thinking about buying a new Lionel New 16712 Hobo and Cop Pinkerton Animated Gondola car but was wondering if these were made in the U.S.A or China. If I buy older could anyone suggest the best Lionel hobo and cop car to buy. I bought this one but had to send back because the hobo and cop barely moved around the car. Lionel O Gauge Pinkerton #16674 Animated Gondola Car.

All of the Animated Gondola cars operate using the same vibrotor mechanism. The operating voltage may need to be fine-tuned to get optimum performance.

The 16712 Pinkerton Animated Gondola from 1995 was presumably made in the USA.

Thanks Larry, any idea on how to adjust operating voltage may need to be fine-tuned to get optimum performance.

The operating voltage is adjusted by varying your transformer throttle. Run the train at a speed that gives the best performance of the car.
