Are you operating you 3985 conventionally, Legacy or  TMCC?

If running Legacy, see pages 5 - 10.
If running TMCC or Conventional, see pages 11 - 20.
Check pages, 11, 16, 17 & 20 to see if there is a solution to your problem.
Page 20 may be your solution if you are running it conventionally.

Ref the Challenger stuck in reverse, my first suggestion is to clear it off your remote, and reload the software from your orange module.  Sometimes static electricity or a power surge can mess up the programming.  Try that first.
