Legacy engine drive truck

The output drive gear that drives the wheels **** and fell off. Need to replace gear or replace whole truck. Please advise repair parts or how to fix. See pics.

(6-38237) Maritime Exploration GP-7 #8237
It appears I need #21 is not available from Lionel. Any ideas where I can get parts?  Thanks
