Hello train junkies!
I'm Eric and hail from God's country up a mile in the sky (Colorado). I have had a O-27 scale train in storage for 25 years and decided to get it out and test the engine recently. This action has opened up some good memories and a renewed intrest that has been lost for too long. My newly restored to service engine is a 2055 from the mid 50's which I just completed a restoration and general maintenance. Still runs great and pulls a 6 car passenger set with ease. I wanted to have this set on display instead of storage so I installed an elevated layout in my home office which I am learning to love and hate. Working out the bugs on a layout that is somewhat difficult to access. No room in the house for a "Train Room" yet however the kids will be out in a few years and I have plans for the extra space, if the better half will allow.

Recently purchased at an auction a Southern Pacific Daylight engine to add to a beginning collection of quality Lionel equipment. Love the new tech in the engines however I remain partial to the post war engines such as my 2055. Just want to show appreciation to the moderator and administrators of this forum, I can tell I will have found a good forum for information, answers and just good train talk from other enthusiasts.
